Only Evil Knievel would the tricks I’ve seen in the video’s above and its incredibly impressive. Even more so because Ash is very laid back about it all.

Ashley Douglas, a BMX Master Talks I Love The Grove Through BMX Freestyle

Sitting there outside Half Pipe on the Golborne Road all I could think about was high speed digital cameras wondering whether they are able to vividly see the speed of Ash’s tricks?

Like me, Ashley Douglas was born and raised on a council estate in Ladbroke Grove and for months before his 13th birthday would stop and stare like most kids at the bike in the shop window. That was 10 years ago and now Ash is firmly on the BMX scene

To my mind only Evil Knievel would the tricks I’ve seen in the video’s above and its incredibly impressive. Even more so because Ash is very laid back about it all.

That said he does look up to riders such as Mat Hoffman, Sergio Layos and Nigel Sylvester and one man in particular, Rob Reed of the Bicycle Society  http://www.thebicyclesociety.co.uk who Ash works with on summer camps and other events to promote safe cycling and introducing another sport other than Football or Rugby.

Staying fit is also a big part of BMX and if entering competitions is what you aspire you need to contact Ash.
